Sometime an unusual occurrence of any unexpected incident can get you amazed for a moment by not knowing how to react as it may prove to be once in a lifetime experience of yours.
Last Winter during our return journey from Shirdi towards Nagpur, we experienced an unexpected.
It was a night time around 8.30pm, as i was travelling with my wife and parents through a very narrow road surrounded by tall tress and farms from both sides. My car speed would be around 45kmph and with complete darkness outside, the only visible light were of car headlights.
Suddenly three deers jumps adjoining very close over to my cars front bumper .Oh dear! i got amazed for a moment with that view.
They were appearing as Golden Deers due to only light source was of car headlight on them.We rush along to capture that moment but the reality is golden deers were so swift, they don't gave us any chance for meeting our expectations. Otherwise it would had been one of best capturing moment. Anyways that moment is left only with our memories now .What matters most is that our car did not hit any of them. All of us were safe and we breathed a sigh of relief.
Deer usually travel in herds, so if you see one crosses the road, look immediately to where the deer came from. There are probably others ready to cross.
Headlights usually doesn't scare deer. Sometimes they cause deer to stop in their tracks and on the road.
Dawn and dusk are the times you are most likely to encounter deer along the roadside. Deer breeding season runs from October through early January, and during this time they are highly active and on the move. This is when deer-vehicle collisions are at their peak. So it is always better to drive slow on such roads for safety side.
' Safety is not automatic, think about it.'
